A hands-on workshop for learning the skills and techniques of candle-making.
Understand more about the different types of candles that are sold in the UK, then learn the skills to make your own using natural parrafin, soy, beeswax and/or gel. This workshop shows you how to make beautiful container candles as well as give explaination on production of pillar candles. Choose from a variety of fragrances and dyes to create your very own candle range.
• Introduction to candle-making through ages
• Overview of the different types of wax, wicks, dyes, fragrances and candles
• Demonstration of different candle-making techniques
• Using individual jars, melt wax, add dyes, fragrance oils and wicks to make your own masterpiece.
• Everyone take their beautiful self-made candles home
The workshop will take approximately 2 hours. Material and light refreshments will be provided. Please make sure you arrive at 10-15 minutes in advance, as to avoid the start of the workshop at your absence.
